Job Vacancy: B2B Small Business Sales Consultant

Spark Online Retail Specialists, Hessle

Sales experience not necessary, but you must have experience of online retail. Perhaps you’ve worked for a retailer that sells online, ran your own retail business, or previously targeted online retailers in a sales role?

This role is not for everyone. There’s no getting around it: it involves a lot of telephone calls to businesses. We select our target customers very carefully, and do work to soften them first, but you must be comfortable with cold calling businesses (and being told to 'get lost' on occasion and handle this politely).

Please don’t apply if you’re a stereotypical sales type: we don’t want a pushy sales person. Our approach is to help customers to make the right decision for them, not just selling them a product regardless. We also don’t make quick sales: it’s a long sales process with lots of follow-up calls and emails involved.

We don’t pay commission.

We do have a great product. We do have a great team to support you. We will train you and give you honest constructive feedback. We will pay you a good salary (based on experience), with good holidays, regular reviews, flexible hours and a great working environment. We will not ask you to work overtime. We will treat you with respect.

Who are we? Spark are Online Retail Specialists: Our customers are independent retailers. We help them to sell more online. We design, build, promote and improve online stores. We also have our own software platform that allows online retailers to be more efficient.
